Indoor heated swimming pool....come on who else has that. Billiard room, library(rare), snack room, men and women changing for the pool along with 6 extra bathrooms with showers. Probably the nicest rv park in Rockport. And everything you need is less than 2 miles away. Awesome!!!!!
We moved out of this park 13 months ago because Jim and Dee no longer manage the park. I have talked to several friends that are still there and they say it has gotten worse and worse. It is a shame this WAS a nice park at one time. But absent mangers who don't get involved in the management is a problem. Their managers remind me of HOA managers. If you ever have lived where there is an HOA you know what I am talking about. If you are looking for a great palce to stay with excellent management I recommend that you check out Copano Bay RV. It is currently being put back together because of the Hurricane but Fred and Vicki are awesome and the owner keeps his RV there also.
Used to enjoy every moment coming down here, it was a vacation. Now we feel like the manager and her live in boyfriend have made the park so uncomfortable for all the guests it's not a vacation any more. Ease up, stop running it like a prison and we're all bad guys out to do something wrong. Everyone is so totally unhappy. It shows that the park is not like it use to be, empty spots all over the place during the summer is crazy. And then that Mike guy, no one is comfortable with him around. Please hire a new manager and maintenance manager. Please listen to the guests or your going to have a park that's empty before you know it. Do a survey, you'll then find out the truth. We once had a park that loved and had harmony. Now all we have is guest crying about what they hate and looking to leave. We've had friends here for years and that's what brings us back, two people are seriously about to change that in an instant. BTW, it was a few folks that put together the park July 4th parade that was cancelled by the park manager. We planned it and she posted it on the website and took the credit... bad lady, bad!!!!
The staff was extremely rude, and we got the feeling that younger people are definitely not welcome there. Several older staff members and vacationers drove too fast in the park even though our children were playing outside. We were given dirty looks by several people and one older woman made us feel very uncomfortable because she stared at us for a long time while we swam in the pool with our kids. We didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities because those are only open in the winter time when the only people allowed at the park are 55 and up. It's ridiculous. The indoor spa was closed down for the Summertime when we arrived and the front desk manager told us it was because it was too hot outside, even though it was a fairly cool day in Spring. The coffee shop was also closed. One of our sons ended up getting sick our first night and we had to leave earlier than expected because he was so ill. The manager in the office refused a refund for the extra day we weren't going to be there and also refused any sort of voucher so we could come back at a later date and use the day we payed for. We had an awful experience in every way at this horrible resort.
Very well maintained park. Beautiful shady lots. Inexpensive monthly cabin rates.
