It's a little hole-in-the-wall that we happened to see on a road trip home with my buddy. We weren't sure at first but it wound up being a country folk environment where you can smoke at the tables while eating and a bar to sit and talk with a pool table and a juke box. Definitely not a 5 star restraunt when it comes to appearence, but it has that ma and pa feel about it and that to me, is gold. The food was surprisingly delicious and fresh. Definitely would and will go back.
Great breakfast, lemon French toast is a must try! Even though there was only one waitress and a room full of customers, she was fun always smiling and the food came in a timely manner . Everyone at our table was happy with their breakfast, so happy that we are going to make it a weekly outing !!
Delicious Burgers!!! Caroline is fun & welcoming, and these were seriously the tastiest burgers we have had anywhere in South TX. Awesome, home-cooked-style food, clearly made with love.
This place is a local dive to be sure, but it's mentioned in the best way possible! Caroline is a tough character but can cook like the best oh them, and has a heart of gold. Her food is delicious and all scratch made. The wait staff are friendly local ladies with quick wits who banter with mouthy customers. Exchanges always end w a big laugh. It's located out in the sticks but worth the drive. I always seek out Caroline's place no matter where she is and you should too.
