Beautiful but lots of mosquitos because of the standing water after Hussicane Harvey
Called about pricing. The lady said it would only be $10/night. We asked 2x if that was all we had to pay and she said yes. When we got there someone else said we paid have to pay $5/person plus the $10 was only for the camping site. We decided to pay because it looked like a nice place to camp. We picked our camping site and set up... as we were bbqing we looked over to our table and there were roaches all over our table and food! We were so grossed out. We have never been camping with roaches all over the place, also there were a lot of ants throughout the campground. Ants were not a big deal to us but the roaches were unacceptable!
Nice quiet place. You can stay by the water or in the cozy camp spots surrounded by trees so thick you feel like you are all alone. Nice RV spots.
Love scene the world's oldest oak tree it's over a thousand years old
This is such a beautiful park!! We went hiking here a week prior to hurricane Harvey. We planned on going back for camping. There are so many beautiful trees, wildflowers, and birds!! The fishing pier was just amazing. It was the longest one I have ever seen!! I hope recovery is going well!!
